On December 16, 2021, Mrs. An Vichara, a Chemistry teacher of American Intercon School, Mao Tse Tong Branch (Head Office), conducted an experiment on a topic of factors influencing speed reaction for 12 graders. In this experiment, the teacher presented some main points to the students regarding the process of experimenting such as experimental plan, particle size, hypothesis, and evaluating experiment results about gas volume from the reaction. As a result, the students could get in-depth understanding about the topic mention above. After her presentation, the teacher divided the students into groups consisting 4 or 5 members in order to do direct experiment with the factors influencing speed reaction.
Regarding this, Mrs. An Vichara expressed her thoughts that science subjects were not only related to the application of the theory, but also the learning needs which students had to receive. More importantly, the experiment is a very interesting activity which attracts student’s attention in learning.
After the experiment session, each team member had a cooperative spirit and understood how to use the materials for experiment and evaluate the results obtained from the experiment.
