On May 30, 2022, students in grade 7 conducted an experiment under the topic of Identification of Oxygen and Carbon Dioxide. This experiment was led by Mr. Nou Srey Sros, a chemistry teacher at American Intercon School, Mao Tse Tong campus. To make this experiment to work, it is necessary to have some materials such as glass, water, oxygen, powder, manganese, dioxide, incense and metal triggers.
After the experiment, all students can observe that oxygen is a gas that protects the combustion and it can ignite the incense burner. On the other hand, carbon dioxide transforms lime water from clear to translucent after oxygenation. After the teacher presented the experimental process and explained in detail the theory of the experiment, the teacher divided the students into groups of 4 to 5 members. After that, the students in each group also cooperated well in participating in practical experiments with the guidance of the teacher until they got better results and achieved the objectives as expected.
