Khmer literature Teacher
Ms. Mon Leakhena is a Khmer literature teacher from the Regional Pedagogical Center of Phnom Penh. After teaching for one year, I went on to study at the University of Specialties of Cambodia (CUS) to get a bachelor's degree in Khmer literature. This is because it is my habit that I have always loved education since I was young, and always dreamed of becoming a teacher in the future.
At the end of 2014, I joined the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports as a civil servant of the Ministry of Education, starting at Boeung Prey High School until now. A developed country depends on human resource, so I am very proud of my contribution.
My self-development and ambition did not end by here. I resumed my studies deeper in education in March 2019. A large, well-known private educational institution that focuses on quality, discipline and good service is my first choice. American Intercon School became my second warm workplace where I started teaching Khmer for grades 7 and 8 in 2019. I have learned and gained not only new experiences here teaching students general knowledge, but also creating more programs so that provides students with the opportunity to learn more about the outside world, including workshops and site visits, studies, and so on. When it has become to the school environment, including the relationship between staff and staff at all levels. It is very good, especially without partiality that employees know how to share knowledge with each other, no discrimination at all.
Although the workload is a bit challenging, I enjoy learning new knowledge and the remarkable things. Even though it is a short period of time, I actually have learned a lot such as high responsibility for their professional career, especially to gain knowledge on many new technologies and to get good leaders who are transparent, understanding of employees with various problems.
I am determined to do my best to fulfill my role, especially to study and research new information and knowledge to train students to be more active and to ensure the effective learning and teaching process as expected. In addition, it is about self-development and provides the young generation to become strong pillars in contributing to the support as well as the development of our nation to grow forward with the progress to become a modern society.
