On March 16, 2024, American Intercon School committee led grade 12 students from eight campuses to go on a field trip to Wat Harak Reachini located in Vaing Knong village, Vaing Chas commune, Oudong district, Kompong Speu province and Phnom Preah Reach Trop Resort located in Phnom village, Phsar Dek commune, Ponhea Leu District, Kandal Province. Both of these resorts are safe and beautiful which are suitable for all the students enjoy their study visit. Moreover, they are also cultural sites and associated with a lot of history of Khmer empire.  Wat Harirak Reachini, also known as Wat Vaing Chas and Udong capital, is a good location for students to absorb historical knowledge in addition to the lessons learned in the classroom by accessing and seeing first-hand the geographical location of the former Khmer capital. In particular, all students listened to the instructions and learned more about Khmer history, Longvek and Odong period. During this field trip, the school also organized a program for students to learn about Buddhism and history by organizing a program of blessing and preaching ceremony for everyone so that they could receive all the bless and good fortune.
